Ideas Contest for a Film

Tecla PLAY, in the development of its work of children’s and youth cinema programming of the last nine editions of the PLAY Festival, found that the presence of Portuguese cinema aimed at audiences from 1 to 11 years old is residual.

Proposing the inversion of this paradigm, sensitizing creators to the importance of forming audiences, as well as to the strong international circuit that is often unknown.

It therefore invests in the creation of a space for research and information, a sharing and training program to promote the production of Children’s Cinema in Portugal as well as its international distribution.

The competition will pre-select 10 ideas that will be presented in a pitching session to a Jury composed of five independent figures representing different areas of the national film industry.

The winning idea receives a prize of €2500.
